Arnold used several different workout routines, but one thing is for sure... when he trained, he trained extremely hard!

I've attempted some of his workout routines and found them to be way too much for my body type. Most of our bodies require days off to recuperate. After all, that is when the building process actually takes place.

Typically, Arnold would workout 6 days straight, then take all of Sunday off. And in some of his workout routines, he would even workout twice in 1 day - Morning and night!

As you can see, this is a lot of training.

Does this mean that this is the only way to build muscle? Absolutely not!

Every person is different. Designing a routine is all about feeling personally satisfied first. You could try Arnold Schwarzenegger's workout method, and if you don't like it or if you feel like it's just a bit too much, then simply adjust a few things and personalize it to what works best for you.

The Arnold Schwarzenegger bodybuilding method consisted of pairing specific muscle groups together.
For example, Arnold always liked to do Chest and Back together; Shoulder with Arms; and would do Legs either on the Chest and Back day, or would work the Legs by themselves.

Arnold changed his workout routines constantly and never got stuck in any single routine; if the workout got too comfortable, he would change it...
